On the morning of September 20, the opening ceremony and keynote forum of the 2023 World Manufacturing Conference 

were held in Hefei. Wang Yong, vice chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, delivered a speech and opened the session. 

Han Jun, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, delivered a speech, presided over by Wang Qingxian, Deputy Secretary 

of the Provincial Party Committee and governor. The conference is co-sponsored by the Ministry of Industry and Information 

Technology, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Commerce, the State-owned Assets Supervision and 

Administration Commission of the State Council, the Chinese Academy of Engineering, All-China Federation of Industry and 

Commerce, All-China Association for Foreign Friends, China Association of Small and Medium Enterprises, the Global Alliance 

of Small and Medium Enterprises and the People's Government of Anhui Province.

At the opening ceremony, the "2023 Top 500 Manufacturing Enterprises in China" list and Anhui's leading new technologies 

and new products in the manufacturing field at home and abroad were released. The Ministry of Industry and Information 

Technology and the People's Government of Anhui Province signed the Memorandum of Cooperation on Further Jointly 

Promoting High-quality Development of China Sound Valley. In addition, a signing ceremony for major projects was held.

The conference will be held in Hefei from September 20 to 24, with the theme of "Making the World Smart and creating a 

better world", and a number of important activities will be held, including the opening ceremony, keynote forum, professional 

forum, and exhibition.

This conference has set up a main exhibition hall of 20,000 square meters and a market exhibition area of 60,000 square 

meters, and the number of exhibitors and exhibition area have reached the highest level in history. Quantum computers, 

powered rockets, 600km/h maglev trains, superconducting cyclotron proton therapy system, 80,000 tons die forging press 

and other latest representative achievements in the global manufacturing field will be displayed. The conference will also 

release a number of new technologies and products such as autonomous heavy-duty gas turbine blades and quantum spin 

magnetometers, and launch the "Antelope 3.0" platform, the first industrial Internet platform with large model capability in 

China.

Since 2018, the World Manufacturing Conference has been successfully held for five consecutive sessions. In the past five 

years, the conference has signed a total of 3,021 projects, and the actual investment has exceeded one trillion yuan.
